Multi Media Stripping offers the latest in wood
stripping technology. The method used is known as the flow-over
technique in which all items are stripped by hand using the finest
non-flammable, water rinsable remover on the market today. The technique
limits the time each item will be exposed to the remover, therefore,
nearly eliminating the problem of raising the grain of the wood.
Although the remover is designed not to harm glue joints, we
recommend your piece be reglued after stripping to ensure longer
life and stability of the finished product. Multi Media Stripping
is also using a new water recycling technique in its rinse process.
The recycling system utilizes water in a closed loop system that
removes paint stripper and finish residue from the stripping procedure.
The principle behind this operation is simply to remove all solids
from the waste water through a series of filters. This allows
for proper disposal of these solids, while using the same rinse
water continuously. The recycled water contains detergents, surfactants,
and solvents from the stripper that enhances rinsability. After
rinsing the piece it is then neutralized to remove any residual
stains.
